About me

Hi, about me...Hello from Mayberry. I actually live in the small town of Mt. Airy, NC which is the town the old Andy Griffith Show is based upon. Andy grew up here and many of the places and people mentioned in the show are actual people and places in Mt. Airy. We are located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northwestern NC.I'm a middle school science teacher and have been teaching now for 26 years. I received A degree in Biology from UNC-Greensboro in 1978 and my Masters in '86. I also became National Board Certified in 2003. I played varsity tennis at UNC-G and have been ranked in the top ten in NC. I currently coach our high school team and we were the state champions in 2005 and 2006. My oldest son was a two time state single champion and now plays college tennis. As far as reptile breeding goes, I've been breeding reptiles (mainly snakes) since the mid '80's. I was one of the first advertisers in the old Vivarium Magazine, I had an ad in the second edition. Which I guess means I've at this for a long time. Since then I have not advertised that much so I may not be as well known as some, but those who have dealt with me know that I produce quality animals at fair prices and complete satisfaction is a must. Breeding reptiles is a hobby not a way to make a living, so I do not have tons of animals to look after which often leads to neglected animals. I've narrowed my focus to a few rarely offered animals that I really like. This has allowed me to offer high quality animals at a fair price. I do accept paypal along with money orders.
